On the Road Again.

Daddy J's work needed him in Vancouver for a week, so the natural thing to do was pack up and head there too. The drive from Hinton to Vancouver proved to be quite spectacular and it was much more "Springish" outside Jasper National Park. The kids were brilliant. Little E slept and Buddy was entertained by the outside scenery and the iPad! I cannot stress enough how wonderful these gadgets are when travelling with littles. The 1000km journey seemed to be effortless but perhaps we are now old hands at the "travelling with kids" game and it takes a mammoth hiccup for it to shake Daddy J and I.

The token hooray I'm out of the car! Picture of Buddy, taken at Mt Robson. The highest mountain in British Columbia.

Sue and Buddy keeping themselves entertained!

Walking to our "disaster dinner". We had forgotten the 1 hour time difference from Alberta to BritishColumbia and thought we were being really clever going to an early dinner at 5.30pm. Buddy was a nightmare, like a kid possessed and E had decided it was witching hour (that pleasant time of day when babies feed relentlessly and when they're not feeding, they're crying). We realised when we returned to the room exhausted and vowing to never eat out with kids again, our early 5.30pm dinner was actually a 6.30pm dinner and I know, I know, it's just an hour but every parent out there knows what difference an hour can make to a tired, hungry kid.

We spent a lovely morning in Kamloops the next morning down by the river. We soaked in the sunshine and each other; relishing this time together as a family.

Then we stopped again in Hope where a delicious 31 degrees had E in just his nappy.

And boy, oh boy, did Vancouver put on a show. In all her Spring glory.

Our little neighbourhood for the week.

We spent our time playing tourists in the glorious Stanley Park.

 And Vancouver Aquarium.

And Capilano Suspension Bridge.

And making our way up Grouse Mountain, home to two orphaned Grizzley Bears. That were just coming out of hibernation. (No quality pics of the sleepy bears were taken).

Little Bud loved practicing his photography skills. See his skills below.

The drive home proved to be equally as spectacular, capped off with a stay at a little farm in Clearwater, B.C. On Mother's Day. To celebrate being the mother of these two little human beings is A.OK with me. It's just another day to remind me how truly blessed my life is to have these two in it.

Those little boys rock that world of mine everyday.

Buddy and his animals. This kid has a heart made of gold. Gold, I tell you. He has a way with animals and they know it.

We can't forget his mate, the Rainbow Trout at a little lakeside stop for his hungry little brother, he is a lover of all creatures great and small.
