This one being the biggest happening.
His name is Everett Flynn and he's a perfect fit for our little family. We have been floating on cloud nine since he arrived. And I would just like to say, how good is parenting the second time? It's just as much love as the first, coupled with a bit more appreciation (especially if it's your last), a lot less anxiety over whether you're doing things right and a touch more awesome multi-tasking mothering ability! Loving every moment of this little boy (and his big brother).
The other big news? We are moving countries. Yep, countries! To Canada. The husband was offered an incredible job opportunity (of which I am incredibly proud of my incredible husband- lets say incredible one more time- incredible) and we leapt at it. To the ROCKY MOUNTAINS OF CANADA WE GO!!
So, we have had a very disjointed start to 2013. So far this year, we have packed up one house, moved into a temporary (read very small, I'm talking hotel room small) apartment, shipped belongings to Canada, said farewell to Daddy/husband, solo parented 3 year old from 35-38 weeks pregnant, given birth to second child, recovered from surgery, said farewell to Daddy/husband again when second child was 3 weeks, solo parented newborn and 3 year old, organised within an inch of its life our moving 1 big person, 2 little people and 1 dog to Canada, had week long hospital stay with a sick newborn and in between all that tried to stay mildly social saying our goodbyes to our beloved family and friends. I think I might go take a nap. Ha. Who am I kidding? Lord knows with 2 kids that doesn't happen.
To say life has been busy would be a gross understatement but we are happy, healthy and so very excited to be reunited as a family and start our new life.
